About The Liberty Project
Students United for Justice
The Liberty Project is a student-led movement committed to supporting exonerees and raising awareness about wrongful convictions.
Founded on the belief that justice should be fair, transparent, and accessible to all, the project empowers students to advocate for reform, educate their peers, and amplify the voices of those who have been unjustly silenced.
Our work combines education, storytelling, and direct support for individuals rebuilding their lives after exoneration.
Justice is not automatic - it requires people willing to stand up for it.
Our Work
The Liberty Project combines advocacy, education, and direct support to advance justice and amplify exoneree voices. Each pillar reflects a tangible way students take action to reform systems and rebuild lives. By empowering young people to speak up, share stories, and support exonerees, we’re building a movement driven by compassion, courage, and change.
Advocacy & Reform
We fight wrongful convictions through research, student-led petitions, and partnerships that push for transparency and fairness in the justice system.
Exoneree Support
We provide mentorship, community, and direct assistance for individuals rebuilding their lives after exoneration; from education to employment opportunities.
Education & Awareness
Through school panels, storytelling projects, and workshops, we empower peers to understand the human impact of wrongful convictions and become advocates for change.
